CHATHAM COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
The Chatham County Law Enforcement Officers Association, CCLEOA, was established in 1972 and now has grown to more than 100 Active and Retired Law Enforcement Officer Members.
The organization was formed for the purpose of promoting closer cooperation, and fellowship among Active and Retired Law Enforcement Officers, and other Criminal Justice Professionals in Chatham County, NC.
Through the generosity of its members, the CCLEOA has assisted fellow Law Enforcement Officers and their families in time of need, provided academic scholarships to deserving Chatham County College students and candidates attending Basic Law Enforcement Training.

Bill Harman, CCLEOA President
I’m writing to share important news regarding the future of the Chatham County Law Enforcement Association. After more than 50 years of using the property generously shared by the De St. Aubin’s family, we’ve been informed that our use of the property will end as of June 30, 2026.
This decision comes without animosity or discord. Our relationship with the family remains positive, and we are deeply grateful for their decades of kindness and support.
As a result, the Association will conclude operations following June 30, 2026. Between now and that date, the Board will continue to meet and manage the process of closing out our activities, equipment, and finances. We have two member meetings remaining, including our next meeting on May 7 at 6:30 PM. Your participation is very important as we work through these final details.
We ask all members to please take note of the following:
-
If you have questions or concerns, please email Bob Steele, Secretary, at bob@fullspectrumtactical.com. All correspondence will be reviewed by the Board prior to the May meeting to ensure thorough responses are given during the May meeting. Please refrain from calling so that Bob can organize all communications efficiently.
-
Please do not contact the family directly. Out of respect for their wishes, I will serve as the point of contact between the family and the Association.
The Board understands the personal significance of this change and shares the sentiment many of you may feel. We are committed to closing this chapter with the same respect, fellowship, and integrity that have guided our organization for over half a century. The Board will remain active as needed after June 30, 2025 to complete any outstanding matters.
Thank you for your understanding, continued cooperation, and long-time dedication to the Association.
Bill Harman
