The CCLEOA Ladies Auxiliary first formed in August of 2022. Their first meeting determined their entity name, the officers, meeting schedule of monthly date and times. The group wanted their meetings to be about the fellowship of the members and created a list of possible activities:
Learn to knit
Learn to crochet
Go to a movie
Go out to eat together
Play cards
Book Club
Swap and plant seeds
Painting
The first officers of the Ladies Auxiliary of the CCLEOA were: (in 2022)
Heather Birchett – President
Buffy Taylor – Vice President
Cindy Wyrick – Secretary
Cathy Judge — Treasurer
As time has passed; we have lost some members who moved away or just had other things happen. New officers were installed, we changed our meeting day and time for a short time but we are back to having our meetings on the second Thursday of the month. We meet from 5:30-7:30pm at the CCLEOA building.
The Ladies Auxiliary makes thank you cards for our three police depts for “Police Week” in May every year, creates Christmas crafts/decorations in Sept. and Oct., decorate for the annual Christmas party and wraps the men and children Christmas gifts in Nov.
Cathy Judge, the current CCLEOA Ladies Auxiliary President and Treasurer, wraps all of the ladies Christmas gifts.
The Ladies Auxiliary has plans to attend FIRECLAY, a winery and attend the Siler City Rotary Bazaar this year.
