Annual Leo Appreciation

National Police Week  (May 11th-17th) & National Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15th) are important to us as it gives us a reminder to tell you all how much we appreciate the hard work you put in on our behalf!  We recognize your persistence in the  war against drugs on our streets, the rampant speeding in our communities, your work against gangs in our neighborhoods, and all that you do on a daily basis; to keep us all safe.

We, at the Chatham County Law Enforcement Officers Association, are coming to bring you something to show you that we care about you on Wednesday, the 14th of May. We also held a drawing, to give away cash & prizes; just for FUN!

1st place winner: Retired Officer George Pyecha, who won a CCLEOA T-Shirt, Hat, a Challenge Coin & a surprise gift.
2nd place winner: Honorary Member Chandler Steele, who won a CCLEOA T-Shirt, Hat and a color-changing LOGO Cup.
3rd place winner: Officer Brandon Schultheis with the Siler City PD

4th place winner: Officer David Jessup with the Liberty PD

GRAND PRIZE Winner: Corporal Ty Edelman!
Again, we salute you all for the job you do and we are pleased that we can give back to you in any way to let you know that you are never forgotten by us.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls each year, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special respect and recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
